Senior Airman Connor Belfield joined the 167th Airlift Wing in 2015. He serves as a defender for the 167th Security Forces Squadron.

As a security forces specialist, he is trained in law enforcement and combat arms, responsible for the security of the installation.

“My job supports the 167th’s mission because we protect the personnel and aircraft that make the mission possible,” Belfield said.

He is also a Phoenix Raven, which means he is specially trained to provide security for Air Mobility Command aircraft that transit high terrorist and criminal threat areas.

“He completed Phoenix Raven school last April and has been on multiple Raven missions since graduation,” said Senior Master Sgt. Daniel Schildt, 167th Security Forces manager.

Schildt said Belfield often volunteers his time to help other Airmen on his shift with their training.

He was selected as his squadron’s Airman of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2018 and he competed in the  Best Warrior Competition at Camp Dawson in Kingwood, W.Va.,  last March taking top honors in the Airman category.

Belfield said he hopes to attend air assault school in the future.

His other goals include progressing through the ranks to become the best leader possible, while serving on as many Raven missions as he can. He also hopes to become an air marshal in the future.

Belfield’s hobbies include working out, fishing, hiking, and most outdoor activities.
