Unit Family Member Awarded Pierce Scholarship

May 3, 2008 --  State Command Chief Ronald D, Bowe II, representing the Enlisted Association of West Virginia (EANGWV) presented Ms. Renee B. Alderton with a scholarship in the amount of $500. The scholarship is titled Sgt. Major Harold C. Pierce JR. Scholarship Program. In addition to the check, Chief Bowe presented Ms. Alderton with a plaque and his State Command Chief coin. 
    
Ms. Alderton is currently a student at Mountain State University. Her long-term goal is to be a Radiology Technician. She recently made the Dean's list with a 4.0 
    The following persons are eligible for the scholarship:
     - Dependent unmarried sons and daughters of EANGWV members.
     - Spouses of EANGWV members.
     - Unmarried spouses and unmarried dependent sons and daughters of deceased EANGWV members who were in good standing at the time of their death.
