A sweet delivery before the holidays
Wing Command Chief Master Sgt. Ron Glazer presents a coin to Chris Atkins, a physical education teacher at South Jefferson Elementary School on Dec. 5 at the 167th Airlift Wing. Atkins spearheaded a Treats for Troops program at the school, encouraging the students to donate their Halloween candy to the military. About 60 students from the school delivered more than 300 pounds of candy and handwritten letters from the Healthy Choice Ambassador students thanking the service men and women for their sacrifice. The students toured a C-5 during their visit. (Air National Guard photo by Master Sgt. Emily Beightol-Deyerle)
