167th Airlift Wing holds C-17 conversion ceremony

Chief Master Sergeant Ron Glazer, command chief for the 167th Airlift Wing, has some remarks before presenting a tribute to the flight engineers of the 167th Airlift Wing during the C-17 Globemaster III introduction ceremony, Dec. 6. The flight engineer career field, which has been at the wing since the early 1960s, is going away with the conversion to the C-17 aircraft. Distinguished guests, visitors and family members were at the 167th Airlift Wing in Martinsburg, W.Va., for the introduction ceremony for the C-17 Globemaster III. The unit is currently going through a conversion from the C5 Galaxy. After the ceremony, guests and family members enjoyed tours of the C-17 aircraft, along with various activities for kids.
