Bat survey conducted at 167th Airlift Wing

John Tipone, a lead bat biologist for HDR, sets up a fine mesh net designed to catch bats as they travel through tree-lined corridors, as part of a bat survey of the 167th Airlift Wing property, June 23. The National Guard Bureau contracted with HDR to conduct searches at several installations for the northern long-eared bat which was recently listed as a threatened species.
